The second training event for the T-MAPPP ESRs was held at the campus of the University of Twente in the beautiful city of Enschede. The event lasted 2 weeks, starting on 2nd March 2015 and ending on 13th March 2015.
The event included the week-long JMBC course on Particle Technology as a part of the ESR training. Topics covered included: Particle Contact, Particle-Measurement Techniques, Particle-Fluid Interactions Basics, Powder Flow, Measurement, and Silos (Phenomenology, Design, Problems), Advanced particle interactions modelling, Particle to Granular Flow, Rheology, Two-phase flow modeling, Mixing and Segregation, Nano-particle technology, overview, Sedimentation, Fluidization and Pneumatic Transport.
The second week of the event included ESR presentations, research discussions, a T-MAPPP Board meeting and further ESR training events, including courses in C++ and LIGGHTS and special hands-on training in building T-MAPPP outreach experiments at the state-of-the-art Design Lab at the University of Twente.
